The Pioneer SC-57 is king in the world of receivers. Its digital amplification otherwise known as a Class-D device rises to the occasion of new audio dimensions for multi-channel soundtracks currently available on Blu-ray® Disc. Most multi-channel receivers today have a comfort zone of analog Class-A/B amplifier, leaving little opportunity for further performance enhancements. Moreover, Pioneer actually puts the SC-57 in a category all its own: a Class-D³, for third generation of Class-D amplifiers.

THX Ultra2 plus Certified meaning the receiver can decode every codec known to
mankind while maintaining Pioneer’s signature sound. The SC-57 uses Marvell
with Qdeo video processing while the setup and room correction is Pioneer’s proprietary
MCACC. If the SC-57 lacks one thing, it’s the initial setup process – the manual
is required to follow along, even if you may know what you are doing and the GUI
and back-panel layout is just ok. It’s not as easy as some other electronic brands

The high-definition formats, including Dolby TrueHD, allow you to feel completely immersed. The three-zone capabilities of the SC-57 offer unparalleled setup flexibility, such as 7.2 channels and the 2 extra channels in another zone with remote speakers. Or you can configure the 9 channels of amplification to reproduce surrounds for a total of 11 speaker connections and 2 subwoofers. You could be enjoying music in one room while the kids or friends are watching a Blu-ray® Disc in the other.
At its core, SC-57 is loaded with a whole lot of features. It’s AirPlay compatible to stream music directly from your iTunes library. DLNA Certified to pull MP3, WMA AAC and high-resolution FLAC and WAV files directly from your Windows-based PC to the receiver with your home network. Pioneer engineers incorporated Bluetooth to source music from BT-equipped devices. You can access many popular internet-based services with thousands of high-quality internet radio stations through vTuner™. Pioneer Air Jam App makes it easier than ever to create your own playlists and share with friends. The list goes on.
