Pioneer Elite VSX-53 7.1 Channel 3D Ready Receiver Details
As the name implies, the Pioneer Elite VSX-53 receiver is designed to
provide uncompromising audio and video quality. Features like Marvell
Qdeo video processing and 1080p upscaling, 7-channel x 110W output with
dual sub pre-outs, and support for the latest AV standards see to that.
For the dedicated enthusiast, the VSX53 also offers plenty of options to
customize and control your system, including industry-leading
AVNavigator PC setup, and Expert Mode control. It isn't just the
exceptional quality that makes the VSX-53 noteworthy, though; it's also
incredibly convenient. Just because it's Elite doesn't mean it won't
play well with others; a healthy host of inputs provide connections for
all your home theater components, new and old. But perhaps the most
important connection it will make is with your iPod. The included
docking cable lets you directly connect your iPod, iPhone, or iPad the
receiver and play back your favorite tunes with ease. It gets better
though. An optional Wi-Fi adapter or Ethernet connection offers even
more awesome options. For starters, if your "iDevice" is connected to your
home network, you can control the VSX-53 with the free iControlAV2 App
(also available for select Android devices). This Elite receiver is also
equipped with Apple's AirPlay so it can play media from your different
iTunes libraries without a hitch. Of course, DLNA capabilities allow it
to access media on non-Apple devices too. For even more fun, you can
download Pioneer's free Air Jam App. Up to four Apple devices can be
connected using Bluetooth, then used to create a group playlist, among
other things. Better still, it offers three-zone capabilities, and dual
HDMI outputs. Quality, connectivity, and convenience what more could you ask for?
